NOTE: PaleoBurn is no longer for sale but we would keep this review page live for your reference. In the meantime, you might want to take a look at similar products like The Dark Side of Fat Loss or Robb Wolf’s 30 Day Paleo Transformation.
NOTE: “PaleoBurn” was previously known as “Primal Burn.” It was initially created by Ken Smith but, along with the rebrand, the author became Ken Burge. All indications point that both products are one and the same. In any case, all of these product names and author monikers refer to the same Paleo diet product created by the same person.
Pros
- If the Paleo diet (i.e. Caveman diet) is your thing, you might want to give this product a look, only a look.
- Beautiful presentation.
- That’s it, really.
Cons
- Created by Ken Burge (who used to have the moniker Ken Smith). Having a pen name is ok, writers do it all the time; but Ken Burge’s background is in business consultancy and marketing, not weight loss or health.
- Contains general Paleo dieting principles and concepts rehashed from other established sources.
- Disorganized program flow.
- We got no customer service response on our inquiry.

PaleoBurn Basic Product Details
We researched every angle and turned every stone, but there’s just nothing much to discuss about the PaleoBurn (Primal Burn) Fat Burner System because it just doesn’t offer anything resembling authoritative content. To put it lightly, this product is a mash-up of Paleo diet articles combined with some exercises, put together to resemble a complete weight loss program.
This weight loss program is created by Ken Burge. Prior to the rebranding, the listed author of this product is Ken Smith. For all intents and purposes, they are the same person. We certainly understand the branding and pen name choice. However, the thing about his credentials that you should know about is that Ken’s background is in business consultancy and marketing. There are no indications that he has any deep expertise in the field of Paleo dieting, weight loss, or health. As such, we can’t put him and his product on any credible platform in the weight loss field.

What’s Inside PaleoBurn
It doesn’t get any better for the program itself. It’s a poor approximation of established Paleo diet concepts (The Dark Side of Fat Loss is a way better product, so is Robb Wolf’s 30 Day Paleo Transformation) combined with other weight loss principles like short burst workouts and insulin level management. This intended combination of the different weight loss concepts, however, failed miserably. The integration appears forced and the lack of cohesion is just confusing.
It may be that the author is trying to project a new breakthrough Paleo diet concept, but the lack of organization, concept synchronization, and logical flow can’t hide the fact that this product doesn’t offer anything worth your money.

Our PaleoBurn Verdict
Similar Products with Better Features and Offers:
If you’ve read through this whole review you probably already have an idea where this is going. We just don’t see any way how PaleoBurn (or Primal Burn if you’ve seen this product prior to the rebrand) can get a decent score so we are giving it a 1 out of 5 stars rating.
We have reviewed this product since it was known as Primal Burn. Back then it’s just an amalgamation of Paleo diet articles here and there. With the rebrand to PaleoBurn, nothing has changed. It’s still the same product, and that’s not saying much.
We do appreciate that the author chose to use his real name Ken Burge instead of using the pen name Ken Smith. Using pen names is a normal business practice really, but Ken Smith just didn’t leave any verifiable information back then. As for Ken Burge, our research indicates that his expertise lie in the field of business consulting and marketing, not Paleo diets or weight loss. This doesn’t really help the product’s cause.
To add to the madness, the product also made exaggerated claims it can’t back up. Claims of 31 lbs. weight loss in 2 months and another claim of 38 lbs. in 4 months is a bit fishy if you consider how messy this product is.
All in all, there’s really nothing this product can offer that is worth your money. There are a lot of better and more credible Paleo diet products out there for you to bother with this one.
Our Final Recommendation: Absolutely Don’t Buy PaleoBurn

I had a mild stroke this spring which was a wake up call to get back into shape. I initially lost 15 pounds of weight by just cutting out the junk and processed foods in my diet, even a caveman could figure that out. But I had lost all my muscle mass being a couch potato. So I joined a gym and worked with a personal trainer 2 days a week, 1/2 an hour at a time. Initially just stretching my muscles, I also rode a stationary bike for half an hour - combined a week about 5 hours total workout. Where this Ken Burge comes up with 10 hours or more is madness. But after stretching and light exercise I now was beginning to gain back my muscle mass, but what this fraud Ken Burge forgets to tell you is muscle weighs more than fat, so while I lost 15 pounds of fat I gained back 10.12 pounds of muscle needed to burn the real fat. As I got stronger again I slept sounder over night with less afternoon naps, I was far more alert. I do have Diabetes and since I have been working out my blood sugar is low and I have begun taking less insulin. This Ken Burge is a fraud because this is a marketing campaign. The operation Ken Burge is associated with is not only pushing his caveman diet, but they are using almost the exact same presentation, the same cartoon artist, and probably the same announcer to promote to the public to purchase a type of Krill Oil. A similar sob story in the beginning and building up for 52 minutes to how Joe Blow turned his life around taking these Krill Oil pills.
Thank you for sharing your experience Ed. We do agree that this Ken Burge character is a bit shaky (as we have mentioned in this review). There are really a lot of better products out there that spare you from such risk and uncertainty. It is great to hear that you are getting back on your feet and getting healthier though. That is the most important thing.
I am so disappointed with the PaleoBurn product. There is NO support. I have never been able to use their online charts. They have sent me new passwords on automatic reply. I have given up.
I have never had access to the member site!
Do not get sucked in like I did.
We are deeply saddened to hear about your experience with this product Eileen. We really hoped that our review on PaleoBurn would have warned you about the pitfalls of this program. The best thing now really is to move on and look at more reliable products. We do thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully it would serve as a warning sign to our other readers and help them make the right decisions.
Do not buy from this company. PaleoBurn is absolute nonsense and their customer service matches the quality of the product. As soon as your credit card number is entered, their site grabs the information before you have an opportunity to review and before their multiple attempts to up-sell (at which time I realized I was being an idiot for even considering this). Even if you send the product back you will most probably not ever get a refund. Buyer beware.
Hello Barbara, we are saddened to hear about your experience. We also apologize that our review was not able to stop you from going through this bad ordeal. Perhaps we need to be more forceful with our reviews next time so that it does not leave any shadow of doubt in the minds of our readers on how to proceed with this particular product. Thank you for sharing your experience Barbara.
