Venus Factor Review

Editor Rating:

NOTE: In lieu of the number of comments and personal reviews submitted by you, our readers; we have decided to conduct another round of research so that we can keep this review up-to-date. This updated review of the “Venus Factor” product reflects our new findings combined with the personal experiences generously shared by our readers.

NOTE: “Venus Factor” is an updated version of the product previously known as the “Venus Index Workout” program. This product is created by the same author and the underlying weight loss principles stay the same. However, the added tools, streamlined information, and lower price are welcome improvements over its previous iteration. This review talks about the current version of the program, as well as the differences from the previous “Venus Index Workout” program.

  • A unique fitness program for women if you want to be fit with attractive female proportions. This allows you to have that fit and gorgeous “bottle” body instead of a fit but unappealing “box” body.
  • A workout program that goes beyond fitness and health. This program’s goal is to give you that lovely feminine look.
  • Emphasizes the “right shape” over the “low weight” – this is actually the better metric to focus on for women.
  • An intense exercise and dieting program that doesn’t bulk you up. That is, you’ll be able to retain your sexy feminine features.
  • Deals with the weight loss trifecta – nutrition, workout, and motivation.
  • Based on extensive research and scientific evidence.
  • Very efficient. That is, the nutrition and workout regimens are designed to provide maximum effect at the least time expended.
  • The success stories are inspiring. There have been a lot of dramatic transformations brought about by this program.
  • The authors’ references are cited. This shows good faith while also allowing you to verify the credibility of each claim the program makes.

  • Strictly for women. There is an equivalent program designed for men which is created by the same author – the Adonix Golden Ratio.
  • Not user-friendly. The program assumes that you are already familiar with reading workout and diet charts while leaving no “user guide” or “how to use this program” section.
  • Not for total beginners. That is, basic fitness terms are not elaborated. The program assumes that you already know terminologies like sets and reps, weight categories, etc.
  • This program takes a bit amount of work. If you are looking for a silver bullet weight loss solution, “designer” workout program, or bodyjam-type class sessions, you’re looking at the wrong product.
  • Additional investment can be expected on supplements, healthier foods, and exercise equipments or gym memberships.
  • Most parts of the program are hosted online. If you don’t have internet access in your gym or grocery store, this product won’t be able to help you.
  • Inconsistent customer service response. Sometimes you’ll get a response but most of the time you won’t.

Venus Factor Key Product Details

Venus Factor Product LineupVenus Factor is a unique workout program for women. It’s unique in a way that it goes beyond simply making you lose weight and get healthy. This program’s goal is to give you that attractive and sexy feminine look; that is, you’ll be fit but not bulky while sporting the perfect body proportions appropriate for women. While other fitness programs can make you end up with the thin “box” look, this program gives you that sexy “bottle” body that every woman wants.

This program is designed and developed by a well-known personality in the field of fitness and dieting – John Barban. John is a thoroughbred fitness expert through and through – from his educational background all the way to his several work achievements in the field. His credentials are too long to list here so it’s better to refer you to his official bio page.

As for the program itself, Venus Factor is a 12-week nutrition and workout program (in the previous iteration, the nutrition program is a separate guide created by a different author). Let’s discuss the nutrition side and the workout side separately since they are divided into two different modules.

For the nutrition side, John’s main concept is the 12-week Undulating Metabolic Override Nutrition Protocol. This is John’s strategy for eating your way into a fat-burning and body-shaping metabolism. It mainly involves eating the right foods at the right times with the goal of regulating your metabolic hormones. In effect, you burn fats in the right places and allow your body to properly shape itself. An online meal plan creator (Venus Factor Virtual Nutritionist) is provided to automate everything for you.

Surrounding the nutrition module is a healthy discussion on the Venus Index – the golden ratio that represents the perfect female body proportion. You’ll learn what it is, what ratios to target based on your height, how to measure your current Venus Index, and how to get to your target ratios and attain the best feminine figure possible for yourself.

On the other hand, the exercise module is a simple workout matrix that contains workouts and set-reps. You are expected to work out 3 times a week for 12 weeks. In addition, all the workouts have links to video demonstrations so you would be able to do them without a hitch.

Our Venus Factor Review Verdict

Similar Products with Better Features and Offers:

Venus Factor used to be a decent body-shaping fitness program for women. Admittedly, there are only a few fitness programs out there specifically designed for women; and among those few, Venus Factor stands out in one aspect – clearly defining the perfect female body proportions. Like what we said in this review over and over again, you can be fit but end up looking like a thin box if you just do generic exercises. With this program, however, the goal is to be fit and to achieve the right body proportions that define an attractive female body.

However, this program has a lot of flaws and inconsistencies which makes it nearly unusable for the general female population. In that end, Venus Factor is a product that missed its potential while being only useable and comprehensible by only a few individuals, therefore garnering a low score of 2 out of 5 stars rating.

Let’s face it, not all skinny or thin women are considered attractive or sexy. Yet why is it the goal of every other fitness program out there to simply make you lose weight and get skinny? Venus Factor might be the only fitness program for women that aims to help you lose fat at the right places and build you the right curves at precise proportions. The goal is no longer just to lose weight; it’s to be attractive and feminine. Focus on the “right shape,” not on the “low weight.”

Also, Venus Factor shares something that most other programs don’t. Even if you don’t follow the workout or dieting program, the information about the Venus Index and achieving the perfect female body proportion is a great takeaway. Even if you decided to follow other workout or dieting programs, knowledge of the Venus Index can help you set correct fitness goals designed for attractiveness and sexiness.

However, the product does have a lot of shortcomings that are hard to ignore; and actually brings a negative experience for its users. These flaws mainly fall on the program’s structure and customer service support.

For the structure, the main issue is that the program is not user-friendly. There’s no guide on how to view and interpret workout and nutrition charts. On top of that, the program also assumes that you are already familiar with technical fitness terms and practices with no explanations offered. This may be acceptable for intermediate users, but it totally disregards the needs of the beginners.

On the customer service end, the user experience is ruined by an inconsistent response and action rate. That is, sometimes you’ll get an answer, but most of the time you won’t. This is simply not acceptable, especially for a program that is not very user-friendly. If the product is complicated, you can expect to have a lot of questions. Customer service response should be flawless in these cases. Unfortunately, it’s not so in this situation.

In the end, the negatives outweigh whatever positives this program offers. Usability is always of utmost importance when it comes to products such as these. However, if that fails, a flawless customer service can often salvage the situation. Venus Factor fell short on both accounts; thereby making this product quite useless and a real waste of money.

only if you can handle it...

Jul 09, 2015 by Diana Dino

Venus Factor has the basic principles right - cutting down calories, exercise, and healthy eating but the recommended calorie intake was way too low. I was recommended to take 1000 calories a day. It does say though that you can increase your calories as needed.

Workouts are not too tough but bear in mind you will need to have some equipment. Their customer service team can also suggest alternatives, as they did with me.

I am not going to be too tough on Venus Factor because it asks you to exercise and watch what you eat - the basic things needed to succeed in weight loss. The only problem I had, as I have said before, was the calorie intake.

I did not have any problems with customer service. I asked for a refund. They replied within 24 hours and gave me a refund within 72 hours as they promised.

Response: Hello Diana, thank you for sharing your opinion about this product. It really helps. We are glad that you did not encounter any problems with your refund request. Our other readers were not so lucky.

product not as advertised...

Mar 06, 2015 by Hannah Frisch

The word that got me to purchase this product was - simple; and it is not simple. It is extremely complicated. Furthermore, the dietary suggestions are absurd. As a healthcare professional, I cannot support anything that encourages you to fast (a.k.a. starve yourself) for the purposes of weight loss. The caloric recommendations by the VF calculator are also absurdly low. The website is entirely disorganized and the workout videos are clips showing you how to do one individual move. Their claim - work out from home - applies only if you are able to finance your own home gym.

I have contacted the customer service representatives requested a refund. I hope it works out.

Response: Hey Hannah, thank you very much for sharing your experience with this product; this would really help our other readers make a more informed purchasing decision.

We share the same sentiments with you, as reflected on our review. This product really dipped in quality throughout its market life. Too bad for a product that used to show much promise.

Regarding your refund request, let us know if you ran into any issues. We may be able to help.

Venus Factor is a scam...

Feb 19, 2015 by Rachel Hermann

I believe I have been scammed by this company. After only finding good reviews, I thought I could sign up for the trial period for $9.95 to see if I want to purchase. Then the next thing I found was I was being charged $542! I do not know how, maybe I pressed wrong button, but there was nowhere to confirm this purchase up. The receipt came straight away and I was left devastated! I have e-mailed them several times, to which I got no reply. I thought it was a money-back-if-not-happy program. I refuse to download anything they send, I just keep getting stupid spam e-mails from them. After reading the other reviews here, I guess I can kiss my money good bye? Expensive mistake. Do not do it!

I wish I found this site first and these reviews would have stopped me!

Response: We are really saddened to hear about what you went through with this product, Rachel. There are really a lot of problems with this product and their customer support (or lack thereof). Accordingly, these issues are reflected in our review. We also apologize that you were not able to see our honest review of this product before you made your purchase; it is true that there are a lot of fake positive reviews out there and this is exactly what we are trying to combat.

Anyway, regarding your refund situation. It is not yet a lost cause and we would love to help you with any way we can. As of this writing, someone from our organization would have contacted you already to help secure your refund.

We appreciate your time and courage to share your negative experience with this product. This would surely be of help to our other readers.

it is a scam...

Apr 25, 2014 by Susan Sealy

I agree with Spookie about this diet. It is not user friendly. They say that you can do the exercises at home, but they do not tell you first that you need to have a set of weights, a bench, and an aerobic step set... Yeah right.

I got sucked into buying the Leptiburn supplements also. This diet did not work; I lost one pound in 3 weeks following this diet exactly.

They have a forum, but they delete all the negative posts about the diet like mine, so it is purely fiction. And, most likely the positive posters are employees.

Response: Thank you very much for your account regarding your personal experience about this product Susan. Venus Factor seems to have degraded in quality from the time we originally reviewed it way back (they used to be very responsive and ethical). Rest assured that we would take this into account when we update our review for this product.

In the meantime, we suggest that you ask for a refund. If they do not respond, please contact us and we will try our best to help you out.

refund request not granted...

I have made three requests for a refund. Sadly, my request has not been honored as promised per their policy.

not as marketed...

Feb 07, 2014 by Spookie

Hi, the video promoting the program over-promises. When you actually subscribe, it is not a user-friendly platform and they assume that you already know exercise/fitness basics; which if I did, I would be healthier and not need this. Reps? What size of weights? These basic fitness mechanics were not covered. Even the supplements he recommended had poor reviews when you check online. Finally, I asked for a refund.

Additionally, when you sign up; they would ask you to buy product 1, then buy product 2 because you will never ever get it at this amazing offer price. And then you get offered products 3 and 4.

Yes I am a sucker. I signed up for 4 items and when I asked for a refund on their forum, they said they will redirect me and deleted my post (which is where I wrote suggestions for improvement).

Lastly, they only refunded me for 2 of the 4 items I paid for. So, I wrote to them again and got no response. They have already blocked my access to their site. I do not know how else to contact them. Here is to hoping that I would get my refund.

Response: Greetings Spookie. First off, we are so sorry to hear that you have to go through such a bad experience with this product. If our positive review (originally 4 stars) of this product lead you into a buying decision, we sincerely apologize for that even more. This review represents a snapshot of the Venus Factor product, written at a specific point in time (in this case, around product launch); and at that time the product, as well as their support team, were performing great across the board. Since then, changes may have occurred that were impossible to account for. Rest assured that your negative experience will be taken into account and this review would be adjusted accordingly.

Regarding the buy product 1 then product 2 then product 3 and 4 bit, this type of upsell packages are common in the online marketplace. Our suggestion, especially if you are not totally confident about the product, is only go with the basic package first. Once you are satisfied with the main product, you can then ask the support to offer you the upsells. Most of the time, they do oblige.

Lastly, you are not a sucker. These types of marketing tactics are designed to sell products and it is easy to get swayed by them. A lot of legit merchants do deliver (oftentimes, over deliver) on their promises but there are those who do fail expectations. Remember, it is not your fault and these things do happen to the best of us.

Our reviews are written with the most honest of intentions, but they are not perfect and sometimes we do miss some things. This is why we appreciate you, our readers, for speaking up and sharing your own experiences with the products. It would help not only us make a better review, but other readers make better buying decisions as well. And for this, our deepest thanks.
